Hello, families!

Today, we gathered all 14 of our sister missionaries together for bi-annual Sisters' Leadership Training. After some discussion on Provident Living along with lunch at the mission home, Elder and Sister Parrish (our senior couple in the office) graciously picked up 10 of the sisters in the mission van. I drove the other 4...and we all went to the nearby LDS Drypack Cannery. We learned how this marvelous facility operates then had the chance to can some products for one hour. Each companionship chose one canned item to share and take home to their apartment (the apple slices were the popular item of the day!).

The second hour, Elder and Sister Reed--who also serve with us--kindly shared of their time and expertise to take us on a tour of the Bishop's Storehouses and the Employment Center. They told us about their service as Church Welfare Service missionaries and detailed all that the Church does to help its own and countless others around the world in humanitarian aid. We then whisked the sisters back to the mission home to gather their things, and it was back to proselyting! It was a wonderful learning experience and a great opportunity to be together!

Thank you for sharing your marvelous young women with us. They are truly incredible sisters and will one day make great Relief Society leaders. We hope that what they learned today will help strengthen their testimonies of this wonderful Gospel, teach them life skills in self-reliance, and encourage them to always extend themselves to help the poor and needy.

Be sure to print out these pictures--they're priceless!

Love,

Sister King
